So sad that Cristine has posted this on FB, but it is so true. Cristine has always been such a huge supporter of family (both past and present) when they were going through hard times. Now it's her turn and there are people that I know she thought would be there who just haven't seemed like they care. So, for her family that doesn't like me, just because I'm here doesn't mean you can't call her or even send her a message on FB. For her family that was there when she was with Gale, come on! Really? Have you forgotten what Cristine has done for you? Or did she only matter to you because she was with Gale?
Today is the bone scan. The port is bugging her. But, I suppose it would bother anyone to have something forgein under your skin. It's sore and putting clothes over it makes it worse.
And the weather here...don't get me started. It hasn't quit raining since yesterday morning and now it's foggy! I don't do weather unless it's hot weather. Stupid Colorado, stupid cancer! O.K. I'll stop complaining now!
Okay...the header alone makes me want to cry.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quickly friendships & family show true colors in a crisis from both positive & negative aspects. Those you thought would support disappear and those you barely knew step up. Those that stick with you through good and bad are golden. Treasure those rare folks because all too often these days I see less and less of any that aren't completely self absorbed.... that run the other way as soon as they may have to give of themselves. Your Mom is one of those rare people and has my deepest respect & admiration. You're blessed for that. Sorry to bust in on your blog & ramble (kim could attest to my gift of gab! Lol)! I've heard so much about you & your boys over the years that I almost feel like I know ya! : ) you're all in our prayers & thoughts! Donna Matheson - Mesa, AZ
